Overstimulation
Summary
30 year old G 1 P 0, Gest.week 40+4. Normal pregnancy. SROM since 48 hours, admitted with contractions. IV AB starts.
- 12:00 Epidural sited, VE: Cx fully effaced, 5 cm dilated, vx -1. Clear liquor draining.
- 12:34 Syntocinon infusion initiated.
- 16:45 VE: Cx fully effaced, 7 cm dilated, vx at the spines.
- 17:30 Syntocinon infusion decreased due to overstimulation, 6 contractions/10 min.
- 19:00 VE: Cx dully dilated, vx +1
- 20:00 Acitve pushing starts.
- 20:22 SVD Babygirl. Birthweight 3 440 g. AS 8/9/10.

Comment
Overstimulation with Oxytocin infusion at 17:30. The variability is disappearing. After the Oxytocin infusion is decreased the variability is coming back and leads to a normal vaginal delivery. The cord twice around the neck and therefor the variable deceleraions.
