Summary

 32 year old G1 P 0. Gest.week 39+3.  Admitted to the hospital in spontaneous labor. SVE on admission: Cx 5 cm dilated, 100% effaced, vx 0 station. Unremarkable pregnancy.  Normal FHR pattern with external monitoring upon admission.

  • 11:20 AROM with clear fluid noted. FSE applied.  ST Analysis initiated.

  • 14:15 Patient feels a strong urge to push. SVE : Cx Completely dilated, 100 % effaced, vx +1.
  • 14:39 Baseline ST Event

  • 15:19 Baseline ST Event
  • 15:30 Active pushing started.
  • 16:25 Spontaneous vaginal delivery. Baby boy 3 740 g. Apgar Score 9/10/10.

Comment

This case was managed in accordance with the STAN Guidelines.  According to the STAN Guidelines, the recommended management plan for ST Event(s) during a Green Zone tracing is expectant management and continued observation.
